St. Andrew’s Church
Through the power of the Holy Spirit we believe…

Christ Alone

In Christ alone for Salvation

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Authority of Scripture

We believe that Holy Scripture is the supreme authority in the Church and in our lives, that it is the Word of God written and contains all things necessary to salvation.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for Correction and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

Discipleship

We are called to be and to make disciples of Christ Jesus.

Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

Worship

God is worthy of regular worship in word, music, prayer and Sacrament.

John 4:23-24 "But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

Proclaiming the Gospel

We are called to share with others the Good news of Christ Jesus.

Mark 16:15 And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."

Prayer

We are called to a life of expectant prayer.

I Thessalonians 5:17 pray without ceasing.

Building Relationships

In building Godly relationships that are open, honest and trusting both within our homes and within our church family.

Colossians 3:12-14 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you so you all must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
